Louise Larkin Asbestos & Mesothelioma Claims Litigation Executive
Louise is a Litigation Executive specialising in industrial disease and asbestos related disease claims and is based at Slater and Gordon Lawyers in Liverpool.
For over 20 years Louise has gathered extensive experience in industrial disease claims particularly asbestos claims both in England and Scotland. She has pursued asbestos compensation claims on behalf of claimants suffering from Mesothelioma, asbestos related lung cancer, asbestosis and pleural thickening. She has represented claimants from many different fields of employment in many varied types of working environments.
Louise acted for a claimant suffering from Mesothelioma who was a full time carer for his wife who had long term Dementia. A substantial cathartic dependency claim was made in respect of the future care of his wife. The claim was successful during the claimant’s lifetime against Liverpool City Council and was settled for almost £700,000 compensation.
She also acted for a claimant and subsequently his wife following his death due to Mesothelioma. They were both profoundly deaf and could only communicate by sign language. As Louise is proficient in British Sign Language she was able to act as an interpreter whilst acting on their behalf with regard to the asbestos claim.
Louise writes for numerous local papers including The Wirral Globe in order to highlight current issues and raising public awareness in relation to asbestos disease matters.
98% of the Asbestos and Mesothelioma compensation cases that Slater and Gordon deal with are funded through a No Win No Fee agreement.
