A motorcyclist received a four-figure settlement following legal action when he was injured in a road traffic collision in Germany.

Slater and Gordon Solicitor: Nicola Rostron is an associate, specialising in travel litigation at Slater and Gordon Lawyers in Manchester.

Settlement: £4,900.

What Happened: Our client was involved in a road traffic accident in Germany. He was riding his motorbike when the defendant failed to stop at a junction and collided with our client, knocking him from his motorbike.

Impact: As a result of the accident our client sustained injuries to his ribs and a fractured thumb. Before he recovered he was unable to work and so suffered a loss of earnings.

How Slater and Gordon Helped: We managed to secure a prompt admission of liability and fair compensation for our client’s orthopaedic injuries. The matter settled before it became necessary to commence court proceedings.

Decision: A four-figure settlement was agreed.
