£5,000 for Cycling Touring Club Member Knocked from Bike by Car
25 March 2015
Slater and Gordon Personal Injury Lawyer Beverley Hudson secured £5,000 in compensation for a cyclist injured after being knocked off his bike.
At the time of the accident, Beverley’s client had just proceeded onto a roundabout when a car driver drove aggressively towards him, subsequently knocking him off his bicycle.
Beverley’s client suffered from severe pain to his ribs and back as a result of the injuries sustained from the road traffic accident. Beverley’s client’s bike was also damaged and his cycling clothes were ruined.
Beverley’s client is a member of the Cycling Touring Club (CTC) and Beverley took the case on a No Win, No Fee basis. No costs were deducted from the damages resulting in Beverley’s client receiving £5,000 in compensation.
The settlement allows Beverley's client to cover the costs of any ongoing treatment for his injuries and to pay for repairs to his bike.
