Residence Order and Contact issues in regards to children

22 June 2011

We acted for a client who was defending his wife's application for a residence order for herself and a contact order for our client.

During this application the wife argued she had suffered domestic violence which our client denied. CAFCASS and the court were cautious but still agreed with contact. Our client began with sparse contact and allegations of intimidation.

Through patience and consistent pushing at every stage we eventually achieved a shared residence order and contact similar to an equal split of time.
