Medication Error Causes Client Severe Pain

08 April 2011

When a woman was admitted to hospital she was complaining of severe pain in her abdomen.  She was prescribed with some medication but was later diagnosed with gastrointestinal bleeding and was confined to hospital for two weeks.  A clinical negligence claim was made assuming that the medication which our client had been prescribed was incorrect.

Expert reports confirmed that the bleeding had been caused by the medication and with help from our expert clinical negligence solicitors our client was awarded £8,000 in compensation.
