£200,000 for Woman Injured Due to Anaesthetic Errors in Surgery

22 January 2011

Whilst a woman was being operated on she suffered a hypoxic brain injury. This was because the surgeons had failed to maintain her blood pressure at the correct level to provide enough oxygen to her brain. In the process of the clinical negligence claim the anaesthetist voluntarily retired from his medical role. The General Medical Counsel accepted his resignation. Full liability was admitted and with help from our expert clinical negligence solicitors our client was awarded £200,000 in compensation.
