GBP200,000 Compensation for Man Injured at Work

25 November 2010

Our client worked as the operator of a crane.  The steering was faulty, so a mechanic had been called in to repair it.  Our client was instructed to raise the crane up onto its legs.  In doing so, the crane toppled over and crushed his right leg.  After this injury at work, the man made a claim against his company for not giving him correct instructions.  The defendant’s argument was that he had not followed the instructions closely enough.  Eventually, liability was accepted 65/35 in our clients favour. Our expert accident at work solicitors won our client £200,000 in compensation for the injuries suffered, and to fund future care.
