GBP 220,000 Medical Negligence Claim Following NHS Errors

25 November 2010

A lady tragically committed suicide after a catalogue of errors by the NHS meant that she was neglected despite clearly suffering from depression. It was argued that the NHS trust had acted negligently as they failed to execute their plan of referrals and treatment. The Trust made many mistakes in their failure to communicate effectively, similarly they did not coordinate the appropriate level of hospital care which our client clearly needed. After the details of the case became apparent, the husband of the lady made a medical negligence claim for the lack of care which his wife had received. Court proceedings were issued, and the NHS Trust admitted full liability.  With help from our expert medical negligence solicitors our client was awarded £220,000 in compensation.
