Supermarket Worker Compensated for Workplace Injury
08 October 2010
A supermarket worker injured her lower back when she was instructed to remove a tray of chocolate bars weighing in excess of 25 kilos from a shelf at head height without a ladder or anything suitable to stand upon. The trays were stacked on top of one another and were difficult for the worker to access. Liability and causation for the negligent health and safety awareness were initially disputed before damages were agreed. Our expert accident at work solicitors helped our client win compensation of almost £3,000 for the injuries she suffered.
