Compensation Awarded for Injuries Suffered as a Result of an Accident at Work
19 August 2010
Our client was manoeuvring a roll cage filled with fizzy drinks which was extremely heavy and unwieldy. The corridor to the shop floor from the loading bay had a right angled turn in it. Our client could not turn the cage in ample time to manoeuvre around the corner and the cage trapped his hand between it and the doorframe. Our client sustained personal injury to the hand resulting in scarring. The Defendants admitted liability for this accident at work. They made an offer of £1760 which was rejected. An increase to £2510 was negotiated.
