Compensation awarded after long running accident at work case

14 July 2010

Our client was at work and was carrying out his ordinary duties.  Our client suffered an accident at work when he fell over.  This was due to the cramped conditions with a job, as he was forced to manoeuvre around his work machinery.
Full liability was admitted.
As a result of the fall, our client suffered neck and back injuries which are expected to be permanent.
Our client’s injuries were aggravated in a road traffic accident 14 days later. He was made redundant from his job about 12 months after the initial accident and started work as a driving instructor. It was our client’s case that but for the accident at work he would be earning more as a driving instructor that he was actually earning (his injuries restricted him).
