RJW solicitors act in cases of compensation trust

17 November 2009

Our client was in receipt of compensation for an accidental injury £35, 000. We arranged for thus payment to be held within a compensation protection trust even though our client was not then in receipt of any means tested benefits. Five years later and our client has lost his job but he is able to access those benefits now because the money in the trust is disregarded for means testing purposes and his other ‘accessible capital’ is low enough.
