Age discrimination and Redundancy

- We represent a group of three consultants at a global firm, the oldest in a pool of 12 considered for redundancy, and the three selected. Internal documents confirmed senior management preference for a business model of younger and less costly staff members. On behalf of our clients, we are bringing proceedings for age discrimination and unfair dismissal, valued at a substantial sum .
- We negotiated settlement on behalf of a senior executive at a national media organisation, asked if, "at [her] age, would [she] really want to start a new career?" during a redundancy consultation and redeployment process. We succeeded in obtaining compensation of a substantial sum.
