Elderly lady injured on cruise ship

03 November 2008

We helped an elderly lady who was knocked over by a waiter when she was leaving the restaurant of a cruise ship recover £4200 in compensation. The lady suffered a soft tissue injury to her back and hip which thankfully was not long lasting but did require initial treatment such as physiotherapy and chiropractic treatment. Her confidence was also knocked. The waiter was rushing and was not looking where he was going. This was coupled with the fact that there were a lot of elderly passengers on board, a lot of whom were unsteady on their feet, a fact that must have been obvious to the waiter and he failed to take this into account.
