Slater and Gordon Lawyers are very pleased to announce a sponsorship agreement with England cricket captain Alastair Cook; the youngest player in the history of cricket to score 7,000 test match runs!
Slater and Gordon's logo and branding will feature on Alastair's cricket bat during all of his England & Essex cricket matches until the end of the year.
Alastair will also act in partnership for the firm and make appearances at Slater and Gordon events.
He is currently leading the national side in their test series against India so we are delighted to be part of this exciting time in his career.
Commenting on the deal, Alastair said, ‘I am thrilled that Slater and Gordon will be supporting me during a very exciting period for English cricket and I look forward to representing the firm both on and off the pitch’.
Since making his test match debut in 2006, Alastair has been capped 102 times by his country and gone on to become England’s leading century maker of all time with 25 test match centuries. The opening batsman also holds the record of becoming the youngest player in the history of cricket to score 7,000 test match runs.
In the opening day of the five-Test series against India, Murali Vijay hit an unbeaten century but strong bowling and athletic fielding helped England restrict India to 259-4 on a lifeless Trent Bridge pitch.
