Road traffic accident leads to damages claim

A road traffic accident that resulted in a man sustaining serious injuries has led to him pursuing compensation of more than £300,000.

According to Get Reading, Steven Witcher is seeking unlimited damages from driver Patrick Llewelyn-Davies for the multiple broken bones he suffered during a collision on the A340 near Theale in January 2009.

Mr Witcher fractured his right leg, dislocated his knee and requires cognitive behavioural therapy following the incident, which his writ served to the High Court claims was solely caused by the negligence of Mr Llewelyn-Davies.

The 32-year-old - who subsequently needed several operations - was the front seat passenger in a car being driven by a friend when the motorist wrongly pulled out in front of them at a junction, the document states.

Recently, the Paisley Daily Express reported that Allister Reid is suing Key Coaches after a crash in Johnstone's Thorn Brae left him with serious injuries.
