Companies should be striving to include flexible working practices within their internal policies in the present economic climate.
That is according to Jeff Joerres, chief executive officer of the Manpower Group, who believes senior officials at firms across all sectors should be looking to react to the growing demand from professionals for more freedom in the workplace.
Mr Joerres - whose company employs more than 30,000 people every day through a network of over 200 offices - explained that a "flexible, agile" outlook is essential for bosses in the aftermath of the global economic downturn.
He went on to note that forward-thinking organisations are "evolving their approach to manage their talent as carefully and strategically as they would any other scarce resource".
This manner of operating will only become more common and popular in the future and Mr Joerres therefore encouraged companies to adapt their policies accordingly to make sure they are in a position to attract the best staff.
