Global firm planning UK redundancies
A proportion of employees at Cunningham Lindsey UK have been advised they are at risk of redundancy in the near future, it has emerged.
According to the Post Online, the global loss-adjusting company has had to inform 72 of its 1,956 members of staff across Britain - around 3.6 per cent - they may lose their jobs because of the weak state of its industry at present.
In an interview with the news source, Phil McNeilage, the firm's chief executive, indicated that the coming months will be a "challenge", meaning a streamlining process of its business core is necessary.
"As a result, we have unfortunately had to inform a number of members of staff from across the business that they are at risk of redundancy," he added.
Mr McNeilage went on to say that these measures are essential for the company to remain competitive in a market that has become stagnant.
