Mesothelioma Claims Backed by British Lung Foundation?
The British Lung Foundation is campaigning to raise awareness about the fatal disease Mesothelioma.
Mesothelioma compensation claims could be supported by the British Lung Foundation which is campaigning to raise awareness of the disease as part of its Be Asbestos Aware initiative.
Ahead of the anniversary of Steve McQueen's death through the illness, which saw him pass away aged 50 on November 7th 1980, the British Lung Foundation is urging homeowners and tradesmen to be more alert to the dangers of asbestos, ensuring they receive appropriate advice before coming into contact with it.
Chief Executive Dame Helena Shovelton noted that the Hollywood star may not have known of the risks involved with the substance, which is true for many other people today.
"Mesothelioma is a cruel disease and we are delighted to be working with Barbara McQueen to ensure everyone is aware of the dangers of asbestos," she remarked.
The British Lung Foundation is collaborating with the actor's wife to help promote a new book called, Steve McQueen: A Tribute to the King of Cool, which details the life and times of the star, featuring hundreds of photos and other personal documents.
