The relatives of a man who died in a fatal road accident have been issued compensation for their suffering.
In November 2005, David Charles Ian Barnes was travelling down the M3 when he collided with a concrete pumping lorry owned by Ramcrete Pumping Services.
The vehicle was stationary at the time and a wheel had allegedly come off the rear.
After the incident, Mr Barnes' family blamed the firm, saying it was responsible for the tragedy.
In a new development, the business - which was established in 1990 and is based in Maidenhead - has agreed to settle the claim out of court.
Under the terms of the deal, the family will get £325,000 and part of this will go to Mr Barnes' children.
It will be invested for them by the court and will become available when they reach the age of 18.
Presiding over the settlement, Mr Justice Mackay said his sympathy goes out the victim's relatives.
