A writer has been successful in her bid to secure damages over accusations of libel.
Zoe Margolis, who is responsible for the Girl With a One Track Mind blog and has also produced a number of books, took legal action against the Independent on Sunday.
Her case centred on a piece included in the publication which referred to her as a "hooker" in the headline.
She had produced the story and the paper had entitled it "I was a hooker who became an agony aunt".
In a new development, Ms Margolis has agreed on a settlement with the title's then owner Independent News & Media - which has operations in a number of countries, including Australia, Ireland, New Zealand, and South Africa.
A statement on her website read: "These proceedings have now come to a conclusion and substantial damages have been offered to Ms Margolis for the distress and impact to her reputation, both personal and professional, that this libel caused."
