MP Nadine Dorries has issued a libel writ to ex-government aide Damian Bride over the widely-publicised email that led to his resignation in April, the Guardian has reported.
The message, sent to Labour supporter Derek Draper, featured allegations about the Conservative Party politician's private life that Downing Street has admitted were without foundation.
Now Ms Dorries is suing over the incident, with right wing blogger Paul Staines serving the writ to Mr McBride at his current place of work, Finchley Catholic High School in north London, where he operates as a business and community manager.
Writing on his Guido Fawkes blog, Mr Staines revealed he had handed the court papers to the former spin doctor as the school started on Monday with the message: "Greetings from Nadine Dorries."
Mr Draper was also served this week by fellow blogger Tory Bear, who has uploaded a video of the event on to YouTube.
