A man who was seriously injured in a road traffic accident is claiming compesnation for his injuries.
Motorcyclist David Buchan was left with brain damage after he was hit by a car travelling in the opposite direction as he attempted to make a right turn into a car park, the St Albans & Harpenden, Welwyn & Hatfield Review reports.
The impact supposedly occurred at a speed of around 30 to 45 miles-per-hour. The 25-year-old, who comes from Watford is now unemployable and unable to live independently. He also suffered a fractured leg and spine, needed cosmetic surgery on his face and lacerated his liver.
Through his mother Anne, he is suing motorist Mark Whiting, who denies liability for the accident.
According to Mr Whiting's legal team, Mr Buchan was driving too fast.
The hearing is taking place at the high court in London.
