An editor of a men's magazine has won a five-figure sum in compensation after an employment tribunal found he had been the victim of unfair dismissal.
Frenchman Pierre Perrone, 49, was dismissed from his position as editor of the adult magazine Men Only after disagreements over editorial policy with Mark Quinn, the nephew of the magazine's publisher Paul Raymond.
According to a report from This is London, the dispute arose over Mr Perrone attempting to target what "discerning older gentlemen" through the use of older models, while Mr Quinn requested that younger women be used.
Subsequently the disagreement escalated and eventually led to Mr Perrone being demoted then made redundant.
The out-of-court compensation award was made following a ruling that the procedure for redundancy had been rigged and that there was no evidence that the company had tried to reposition Mr Perrone in another post within the company.
Under the terms of the out-of-court settlement, Mr Perrone also agreed to sign a confidentiality agreement.
