Slater and Gordon are very proud to support Headway, the brain injury charity, and recently arranged a week-long awareness event in Merseyside.
We often attend and arrange regular events in support of Headway and this latest event, arranged by Slater and Gordon Principal Lawyer Carol Hopwood, took place at the Strand shopping centre in Bootle.
Named the “Strand by Me Community Shop”, the purpose of the event was to raise awareness of Headway Sefton by allowing people to find out more about the charity’s work, ask questions and have access to information leaflets and brochures.
Carol and her team welcomed recently brain-injured people into the community shop and talked to them about how Slater and Gordon can help brain injury survivors reach brighter outcomes.
Headway, the Brain Injury Charity
Established in 1979, Headway is a UK-wide charity that helps people improve their lives following a brain injury.
With British A&E departments treating approximately one million head injury patients each year, advising people about living with a brain injury is crucial. Headway not only do great awareness-raising work but offer rehabilitation services such as carer support and social reintegration.
