Tesco Issues Urgent Recall for Stuffed Toys Due to Choking Hazard

Tesco has issued a recall for a range of their popular Christmas toys due to potential choking hazards.

The toys that are being recalled are made by Horizon Procurement Ltd and are very popular with children. The stuffed animals have a manufacturing fault that means the stitches become loose and the stuffing is accessible.

Any child that has the plush toys could easily swallow the internal stuffing and potentially choke. Tesco has also said that the plush fur sheds too easily and could get into mouths, eyes or ears.

Tesco has advised that all Horizon Procurement Ltd plush toys should be removed from children and returned to your nearest store. You will receive a full refund with or without a receipt.

The ten products on the recall list are:

  • Large Polar Bears: EAN 5060373642950
  • Xmas Crazy Eye Dog: EAN 5060373642936
  • Fluff Ball Cows: EAN 5060373642417
  • Fluff Ball Bears: EAN 5060373642431
  • Xmas Crazy Eye Mouse: EAN 5060373642912
