Slater and Gordon were delighted to provide lunch and a legal update at a meeting with the Macclesfield District General Hospital lung cancer unit.
The meeting was arranged by Karen Clayton, with the Chest and Asbestos Disease team at Slater and Gordon giving an update comprised of case law, comment on court fees, and reasons to make a will so that the nurses will be able to provide patients with some initial pointers around legal issues.
The Macclesfield District General Hospital lung cancer nurses provide emotional support, information and advice on all aspects of lung cancer and Mesothelioma, for patients, families and carers, from time of diagnosis, during and on completion of treatment.
Macclesfield is a very busy hospital and the chance for them to get meetings together is a case of a working lunch, so to be able to assist with a quick update and to provide a nice bite to eat is something we are really pleased to be able to assist with.
Slater and Gordon have worked for many years on behalf of Mesothelioma sufferers and their families and are proud to support the hard-working health care specialists responsible for the care and support of people diagnosed with life-changing lung cancer. For those going through treatment for asbestos-related diseases such as Mesothelioma, the support of caring specialists provides them with peace of mind and comfort in knowing that they are not going through it alone.
