On Saturday 10th May, Slater and Gordon Lawyer Kim Harrison took part in the Manchester 10k run in support of Greater Manchester Asbestos Victims Support Group.
Greater Manchester Asbestos Victims Support Group is a registered charity dedicated to providing advice and support to people affected by asbestos-related diseases.
Not only does this great charity support those suffering from diseases like Mesothelioma and Asbestosis, but their support extends to victims’ families, and also campaigns along with other asbestos victim support groups for changes in the law to help asbestos sufferers.
Recent Health and Safety (HSE) statistics state that there are currently more than 2,000 deaths every year in Great Britain due to asbestos-related lung cancer, and Slater and Gordon Lawyers are proud to have supported this worthy cause.
In thanks for the support and those who generously donated, Kim commented, ”Just a big thank you to everyone who sponsored me and for those who promised me more if I completed the run in under an hour. This was a big motivator and my time was 59:32!”
