On 16 October 2013 Headway Cambridgeshire held a charity fashion show at the John Lewis store in Cambridge. The event, which was sponsored by the Cambridge office of Slater and Gordon, raised £1,750 for the charity which supports people with an acquired brain injury and other neurological conditions and their families.
The catwalk models included two of Headway’s service users and staff from the John Lewis store in Cambridge where the event took place. The event also included a make-up demonstration for which a number of attempts were made to persuade the male contingent from Slater and Gordon to take part!
Headway Cambridgeshire’s Fundraising Manager Karen Bevan said of the show “It was the second time we have done it and it was a brilliant event”. Thank you to John Lewis whose Brasserie was a superb venue for the event. Perhaps next time Slater and Gordon’s lawyers can be persuaded to swap their ringside seats for a more central role?!
