The best part about working in family law is being able to make a real, positive difference in people’s lives.
Get to know Stephanie
I have been with Slater and Gordon for nearly four years after moving to London from Canada. I have had the opportunity to work as a paralegal in our compliance team, a legal assistant in our family and crime teams and now as a paralegal in family. I am also currently studying towards qualifying as a family solicitor at the University of Law and am an active member in our student association for students with disabilities.
I was called to the Law Society of Upper Canada as a licensed paralegal in 2014 and became a named paralegal partner at my firm in 2015. During my time at the firm, I worked across many legal fields including civil litigation, crime, family, estates, municipal and corporate law. I was also vice president of our county’s law association during this time.
Becoming a paralegal at Slater and Gordon has been the biggest highlight of my career as I have the opportunity to work with some of the best experts in the field and enjoy supporting clients during a very difficult time in their lives.
The extra mile
I am a member of Slater and Gordon’s Accessibility and Disability Network as I believe in advocating for people with hidden and visible disabilities in the workplace.
