Penny is a principal lawyer within our clinical negligence team at Slater and Gordon in London.
She has more than 15 years' experience handling clinical negligence cases.
She has successfully represented clients in a wide spectrum of cases including those relating to spinal injuries and birth injuries.
She has also handled a multitude of neurological, ophthalmic, obstetric, gynaecological, surgical, oncology and anaesthetic cases.
Many have concerned instances of misdiagnosis, inadequate surgical technique, delayed treatment and prescription error.
Much of her caseload involves complex, high value, maximum severity and fatal claims and her cases are chiefly against hospital trusts, general practitioners and private consultants.
Penny also represents clients at inquest.
She consistently receives positive client feedback and has had cases reported in both the local and national press.
Penny recently co-wrote an article on the issues surrounding breach of duty in the recent case Muller v King College Hospital NHS Foundation Trust in PI Focus Magazine. She has also co-written an article discussing the Bolam principle in relation to the same case in PI Brief Update Law Journal.
