Caitlin Sykes
Solicitor
I am a solicitor in the Newcastle team, specialising in Clinical Negligence.
Get to know Caitlin
I qualified as a Solicitor in March 2024 into Clinical Negligence, after undertaking my Law Degree at Leeds University and LPC with masters at Northumbria University. I joined Slater & Gordon’s wonderful Newcastle Team shortly after my qualification.
I manage a case load of clinical negligence cases on a daily basis; this involves assisting those who have been injured as a result of negligent care and treatment provided by the NHS, Private Healthcare, Cosmetic Practitioners, and Dental Care Providers. Injuries resulting from negligence can range from stroke injuries, cardiac injuries, birthing injuries, and orthopaedic injuries, to name a few.
Career highlights
I am proud to have qualified as a Solicitor in March 2024, be an active member of the North East Medico-Legal Society and Association of Personal Injury Lawyers, and be blessed to work alongside some fantastic charities, medical practitioners, colleagues, friends and clients.
The extra mile
I am a member of the North of England Medico-Legal Society (NEMLS) and the Association of Personal Injury Lawyers (APIL). I had also completed a number of fundraising events in aid of Heel and Toe Charity, including the 5 Peaks 2024 Challenge, the Great North Run, and the Northumberland Walk.
I am proud to have also held a presentation for ICAS and Leo's Neonatal, and worked to set up a partnership between Slater & Gordon and Grace House in Sunderland.
