Andrew Ormrod

Senior associate

I take pride in my commitment to client care and getting the best possible outcomes for clients whilst together we navigate through one of the most challenging times of their lives.

Get to know Andrew

I have been a family lawyer since 2004, qualifying in 2007 and I joined Slater & Gordon in October 2024 as a senior associate solicitor. I am based in Liverpool but am available to help clients across the country. I have extensive experience across the broad spectrum of family law from the technical aspects of resolving finances on divorce, to the emotive and challenging disputes that can arise when advising in relation to children. I also have experience of conducting my own advocacy on cases as well as working with Counsel where appropriate.

Career highlights

I have represented clients in complex children cases in the High Court and Court of Appeal, requiring the instruction of Queens Counsel and more recently Kings Counsel.

I contributed to the book ‘101 Questions Answered About Separating with Children’ commissioned by the ‘OnlyMums’ & ‘OnlyDads’ organisations.

Recognition

I am also a Resolution Accredited Specialist which acknowledges a high level of experience with expertise recognised in children and domestic abuse.

The extra mile

I am a member of Resolution, formerly the Solicitors Family Law Association, who are an organisation committed to the resolution of family disputes in a constructive way
