Get to know Lucy
I qualified as a solicitor in 2013 and joined the Court of Protection team at Slater and Gordon in 2025 in the Manchester office.
I specialise in all areas of mental capacity and Court of Protection work which focuses on managing high value deputyships and well as Personal Injury Trusts. I have extensive experience in supporting vulnerable clients and providing advice both to lay clients and professionals in this specialised area of law.
I act for a range of clients including children and adults who have suffered brain damage as a result of clinical negligence or brain injury following a catastrophic accident and need assistance in the management of their compensation awards.
I have particular experience in applications for the appointment of a professional or lay Deputy to the Court of Protection, statutory will and gift applications, and day to day management of damages including implementing recommendations for care, case management, therapies and investment.
I am also experienced in the preparation of expert witness statements in personal injury and clinical negligence claims on likely future professional deputyship and trustee costs.
