Get to know Kate

I have over 30 years’ experience working in the Clinical Negligence and Catastrophic Personal injury fields and have represented many clients across a broad spectrum of case type including brain injured adults and children, amputees, families who have lost loved ones and representation at Inquests.

Based out of the Liverpool office my role as a Principal Solicitor and Team Leader, means I have day to day conduct of my client files, but also supervision of my team to assist and support them in their development and case management. Sitting alongside and as part of my role is working in the wider Slater and Gordon business, supporting Slater and Gordon’s extensive charity work and partnerships. This includes volunteering, fund raising and attending charity events.

Career highlights

Over the years I have secured many significant settlements on behalf of injured individuals and their families, but some of my most rewarding cases have not involved huge sums of money, but have been significant for different reasons, such as achieving justice for the client and raising of standards.

Recognition

I have previously been accredited to the Law Society Panel for Clinical Negligence and recognized as a Senior Litigator with APIL both currently lapsed.

The extra mile

Having only recently joined Slater Gordon I am keen to throw myself into the extensive charity work and partnering the firm undertakes as it’s crucial we support the many charities who are there for our clients and without whose support and guidance, many clients would be lost.

As a Chair of Governors at a local primary school I recognise the importance of community contribution and giving back.
