Get to know Jennifer
I am a dedicated trade union lawyer with a lifelong commitment to workers’ rights and social justice. My journey began early - attending my first trade union meeting at the age of one due to my father’s active involvement in TGWU, RMT, and United Roads.
After leaving school, I worked in a variety of jobs, gaining firsthand experience of workplace challenges. One defining moment was being dismissed from a factory for suggesting unionisation in the canteen, a turning point that strengthened my resolve to fight for fairness at work.
My interest in workplace rights led me to volunteer at a Citizens Advice Bureau, where I developed a deep interest in the law. Determined to make a difference, I earned a First-Class Law Degree while working full-time as a single parent of two children, which required resilience and commitment!
Career highlights
Since qualifying, I have spent my career representing hundreds of claimants, and specialise in employment law and complex discrimination cases. I have acted in matters involving unfair dismissal, trade union rights, and all aspects of equality law, often in high-stakes litigation.
I have worked for several trade union law firms, consistently championing the rights of workers and ensuring access to justice for those who need it most.
Clients appreciate my down-to-earth, straightforward manner and commitment to achieving the outcomes they want.
