Who is Walking With The Wounded?

Walking With The Wounded (WWTW) is a charity dedicated to supporting those who have served in the military, as they believe that those who have served – and their families, deserve tailored support to help them get back on their feet. They have four core focuses: employment, mental health, care coordination and volunteering, which all help veterans with their relationships, work, homes and lives if they need any assistance since leaving the military. We’re proud to be a legal partner to provide expert advice and legal support to the 3000+ beneficiaries. We’re proud to be a legal partner of WWTW and will be offering expert advice and legal support to any of the 3000+ beneficiaries who find themselves in need.

How are Slater and Gordon supporting

We’re delighted to show our support for WWTW in several ways. By working with their Employment Advisors, we’re able to provide them with relevant information on how our specialists can support their thousands of beneficiaries throughout their legal needs. As part of our commitment to ex-military individuals, we’ll be offering discounted services across employment and family advice as well as our wills, trusts, tax and probate services.

Madelene Holdsworth, Managing Director of Specialist Legal Services at Slater and Gordon, said: “We’re proud to further extend our support to military personnel with a range of specialist legal services, as and when they need us. With the launch of our relationship with Walking With The Wounded, we can help veterans who’ve fallen on hard times get back on their feet. Complexities may arise for those who’ve been wounded during their service, and through this partnership, we’re able to help those through the struggles and relieve their legal burdens.”

Joel Oxberry, Walking With The Wounded Director, said:

“Walking With The Wounded is delighted to partner with Slater and Gordon, an organisation who clearly has a passion for supporting the Armed Forces community. Through collaboration and partnership, we can achieve impactful outcomes for Veterans and their families who may need our support, particularly when it comes to legal support. We look forward to strengthening our relationship through working towards the common objective of helping veterans and their families to live fulfilled lives.”

In addition to our support for WWTW, Slater and Gordon have signed the Armed Forces Covenant, showing our commitment to offering opportunities and career support to those who are currently serving or have served in the Armed Forces, and their family members. Working with WWTW as well as committing to the Armed Forces Covenant highlights our dedication to being a forces-friendly workplace and assisting those who have served.
