Our client, Anna*, a wife and mother in her 40s, was hit head on while driving down a country road near Peterborough in 2020. She and her husband, also in the car at the time, were both injured.

As a result of the other driver’s careless driving, Anna sustained brain injuries and a concussion, fractures to her eye socket and injuries to her mouth which have resulted in pain and discomfort with her teeth. Reports about the crash appeared in at least three different news outlets.

When Slater and Gordon’s team of personal injury lawyers got involved, they secured a substantial interim payment for Anna to prevent any financial hardship and get her the treatment she needed. They also secured a generous rehab offer. Fortunately she had made a speedy recovery with few ongoing symptoms.

The case successfully settled at an early stage for a large sum, after a collaborative, open approach with the other driver’s solicitors. Anna was very keen to bring the case to a conclusion quickly to allow her to get on with family life, so she was pleased with the result. With her settlement funds, she’ll benefit from future financial security and ongoing treatment to aid her recovery.
