When Anna was just 15-years-old, she was taken to A&E and had to undergo an operation on her appendix. A short time later, Anna suffered a cardiac arrest.

It was discovered that the canula being used in the operation had not been flushed which had caused left over anaesthetic to enter Anna's system and induce the cardiac arrest which, in turn, starved her brain of oxygen. As a result, Anna was left paralysed, unable to walk or talk.

Anna's mum searched on Google to try and find lawyers to help Anna, and she contacted Slater and Gordon.

Anna's mum says: "Slater and Gordon have been great. Anna's financially sorted for life, and I thank Slater and Gordon for that because I wouldn't have been able to do it without them."

Anna has been working hard on her recovery and after being told that there were things she'd never do again, she's proving the medical experts wrong. Anna's favourite motto is "being in a wheelchair won't stop me". A true inspiration.
