£80,000 Work Accident Compensation
19 December 2013
Jonathan’s client was a 49 year old mechanic employed by the Defendants who manufactured timber framed buildings at their factory premises in Boston, Lincolnshire.
His client sustained injuries in a work accident on 19 January 2010. At the time of the accident he was assisting some colleagues to fix a speed sign when the sign was hit by a fork lift truck and fell striking him on the head.
Jonathan’s client sustained a head injury and his skull was fractured in two places. There was also damage to his hearing and balance mechanisms.
As a consequence of the injuries he lost his sense of smell and experienced persistent problems of vertigo and dizziness, which were eventually controlled with treatment. He was also at an increased risk of developing post traumatic epilepsy in the future.
Jonathan successfully settled his clients work accident claim for £80,000 compensation and Jonathan says that his client did very well to be able to return to his previous job.
