Work Accident Compensation Case Settled by Personal Injury Solicitor

04 September 2012

In this Employers Liability case our client was an HGV driver for the defendants. He and his colleague Chris, are the first to arrive at the premises on a daily basis. They collect their vehicles and then leave the premises, locking up the gate before departing.

On the day of the accident, the local area was in the midst of adverse weather conditions and there had been snow and ice on the ground for several days.

Our client, when locking the gates to the yard, slipped and fell on sheet ice that had formed as it had not been gritted; fracturing his collar bone.

Liability was admitted by the defendants and our client received £5,250 in compensation.
