Factory Worker Injured in an Accident at Work Compensated for Negligent Care

13 October 2010

A factory worker fell down a gap between the lorry and loading bay and sustained ligament damage to his knee. The lorry had been positioned in an incorrect way which meant that our client was exposed to an unnecessary risk of injury. After a health and safety claim had been made to the employers, they argued that there was contributory negligence at 50%.  After negotiation with our expert health and safety solicitors, they eventually accepted liability in full.  Damages of £9,000 were agreed to compensate our client for the injuries suffered.
