£320,000 Compensation for Mesothelioma Sufferer and his Wife
23 August 2010
Our client was exposed to asbestos, via work, from 1954 onwards. He retired in 1991. In 2005, he was diagnosed with mesothelioma. His concern was always for the future financial welfare of his wife. He had the benefit of a £40,000 interim payment during his lifetime, but gave instructions that his claim be concluded after his death. Our client passed away in October 2007, but it was 2008 before his widow was ready to resume the case. It was possible to negotiate settlement in early 2009. With help from our expert mesothelioma solicitors, the widow of our client was awarded £280,000 in compensation.
