RJW took over proceedings, in recognition of our expertise in this field, and succeeded in obtaining a powerful judgment in our client’s favour. Niekrash v South London Healthcare NHS Trust chimes with public concerns over the impact of management priorities of driving through cost savings and meeting

Government targets, on the imperative of safeguarding patient care. With further cuts in public services on the horizon, this decision very clearly upholds the rights of individuals to speak up when they believe it is in the public interest to do so.

The case received widespread coverage in the medical, national and broadcast media. The story was also re-reported around the globe and on the blogosphere where Dr Niekrash’s claim was given almost universal support.Arpita Dutt is the Partner who successfully concluded this case - view Arpita Dutt's biography. For further information on Whistleblowing visit our Whistleblowing section.
