Trader held back by non-compete restrictions

08 February 2010

We are acting for an employee in a hedge fund in high-value exit negotiations which amount to a substantial claim for our client, a highly profitable trader. The disagreement arises largely as a result of non-compete restrictions sought that aim to prevent him from engaging in similar activities, or from trading on his own account, and disagreements over his bonus, deferred bonuses and future investment interest.
