Client alleges pub re-brand is discriminatory

04 February 2010

We currently are acting for a former manager of a well-known gay pub bought by a major high street pub chain. Our client alleges the refurbishment and re-branding of the venue included a concerted attempt to "de-gay" the pub, including deliberate hiring of "sexy" female bar staff, demeaning attempts to control the behaviour of the existing gay clientele, rude comments and the dismissal of male bar staff on contrived pretexts, including our client.
