Medical Negligence Claim Brought Against NHS Trust
12 January 2010
RJW solicitors helped a woman recover damages against her local NHS Trust, after she was treated negligently. Our client had developed sudden severe abdominal pain and so she visited her Local NHS hospital for consultation where she was reassured and sent back home. Two days of severe pain she consulted her GP and that evening called an ambulance. However both the GP and the ambulance staff were reassured by the advice given by her Local hospital, and our client was left to cope with her pain alone. On the third day the pain was so severe that she was rushed to the Hospital. Our client was diagnosed with an ectopic pregnancy, where she required a life-saving operation and sadly she suffered the loss of her fallopian tube. Our medical negligence solicitors settled this case for £5000, allowing our client to receive compensation for the injuries she had sustained.
