He was finally acquitted of conspiracy to defraud. We successfully represented Kieran Fallon during a fraud investigation and prosecution relating to the on line betting exchange Betfair. He was finally acquitted of conspiracy to defraud. Miles Rodgers, a businessman based in Sheffield was at the centre of the alleged scam. It was alleged that Mr Rodgers used funds to bet excessively large amounts of money on horses to lose races. The prosecution maintained that Keiran Fallon had been told which horses he was to ride to lose and that others provided Mr Rodgers with inside information. The prosecution were unable to produce sufficient evidence to link Mr Fallon and Mr Rodgers or to demonstrate that Mr Fallon had ridden horses with the intention to lose. Both defendants together with three others denied the allegations which were dismissed on the grounds that there was no fraud case to answer.
