Unfair dismissal grievance resolved

Unfair dismissal grievance resolved

A professional has resolved a claim for unfair dismissal against her former employer, it has emerged today (February 8th).

According to Kent Online, the former head of communications at Kent County Council Jane Clarke has come to an agreement with the local authority following her departure last year.

Originally, an employment tribunal was set to take place later this month to determine liability, but the two parties have now settled this grievance out-of-court.

Ms Clarke - who earned £86,600 last year - left the council after a three year stint following management meetings in which it was decided the authority needed to be restructured.

A statement from the body noted: "The parties reached an agreement following which the claim was withdrawn."

Recently, ex-postman William Blight decided to take Royal Mail to a tribunal on the allegation he was a victim of bullying before he left his role in March 2011.
