Life-changing injuries sustained by a man during a road traffic accident have resulted in him being awarded a compensation settlement running into the millions.
According to the Watford Observer, Mark Seabrook was left paralysed after a collision between the car he was driving and a stolen vehicle in Watford in February 2006.
The other motorist - Salliaman Khan - was then jailed for a period of eight months following an investigation into the incident and Mr Seabrook decided to launch legal action at the High Court with a claim for damages of £5 million.
His battle for the sum has now ended after a judge awarded him an undisclosed settlement that he was "very pleased with".
The 49-year-old is said to have suffered severe back injuries as well as numerous broken bones during the crash.
Recently, Rhiannon Millett was awarded £4.25 million in compensation following a car accident in her childhood that left her with brain damage.
